Mission Statement
The Health Ministry of Trinity EFC integrates the Word of God and Christian principles of living into the areas of health and wellness in the local church and the community to help individuals of all ages with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Some Areas of Ministry:
Prayer:
- For those with health concerns or crisis
Education:
- Promote wellness through classes and seminars such as CPR for lay people
- Medicare information conferences
- Provide resources for individuals or groups with specific questions or concerns (i.e. resources for eldercare, specific health issues)
Support:
- Oversee first aid and first responder needs of the church
- Selected referrals to families dealing with illness or other crisis
- Facilitating connections between people and resources for wellness
Screening:
- Blood pressure checks
Evangelism:
- Be ready to share the hope in Jesus Christ as we are ministering
The Health Ministry is led by Faith Community Nurses (FCN), licensed registered nurses, formally trained to faith community nursing and committed to the healing and caring ministry of Trinity.
The FCN does not provide physical care, administer medications, draw blood, give injections or do invasive procedures. The FCN does not provide a substitute for, but cooperates with, pastoral care, community health nursing, hospice or social agencies.
