Children's Ministries
Check-in/Check-out
One of the most unique features of Children's Ministries is its computerized registration system, Parent Pager. All families are required to use the Parent Pager system. (see only exception below) Parent Pager helps provide a safe, secure check-in and check-out of students, automatically tracks attendance, and is a high-touch/high tech way to build relationships with students and their families.
Parent Pager provides your child with a nametag, a tag for a diaper bag (in the nursery only), and either an "IN" or an "OUT" slip to hand to teachers/attendants. To do this, families must be registered at the Registration Desk in the Children's Lobby, where they will have basic family information entered, pictures taken, and fingerprints registered for students in grades 5 & 6, as well as any other adults 18 and over who are able to check students grade 4 and younger in or out of the building.
1st time visitor exception
If you bring a guest for one week only, or on a visiting family's first week, we ask them to complete a simple "Visitor's Card" and turn it in to the coordinator on duty. That coordinator will give both the authorized adult/parent and the student a colored wrist bracelet for identification purposes that week only. The next time the child and/or family visits, pictures and fingerprints must be registered.
Locations to use
If you have children in the nursery, you must go to the nursery to check in those children only as a pager will be issued to all nursery parents. Older children of nursery parents should be checked in separately so a pager is not tied to their check-out procedure.
If you have children who are in Early Childhood classes (age 3 through Kindergarten), you may check in your whole family at the station in the hall across from Preschool 3. No families with only grade school children should check in or out at this station.
If you only have children in grades 1-4 or you are a student in 5th or 6th grade, you should check in at the stations in the Children's Lobby at the Registration Desk.
An authorized adult - not a sibling - must present IN and OUT slips to the teacher/attendant in the classroom in order to check your child in or out of a class. When you present an OUT slip, please keep it and read it. These slips contain information on upcoming events for your family so please read them!
