Live it Up!
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those
who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death."

My young sons know how to ‘live it up'. In our backyard, which we call ‘boy heaven', there is a sandbox, a swing set/monkey bars, a slide, a pond and boat, a tree house and a couple of rope swings. Two boys rule this domestic kingdom with adventurous spirits that would rival those of King Arthur and Sir Lancelot. From morning until night they explore, chase, climb, jump, wade, and swing like monkeys in a forest. I tire just watching them!
Jesus said that he came to give us abundant life (John 10:10). My boys have it. Sometimes I wonder if I do. The cares of the world can weigh heavy upon us adults and steal our zest for life. Sins of worry, fear, and self-centeredness can handcuff our spirits and hogtie our souls, confining us to the shade-darkened rooms of our lives. It's no wonder that Jesus said we all need to become like children if we would enter the kingdom of God. He came to set you free! Today, ask God what may be dampening your zest for life. Pray with David of old, "Restore to me the joy of your salvation." Trust Him with your concerns and ‘live it up!'
