Just as Long as Jesus
"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Romans 5:1
It's an old printer's term, but also known by almost anybody who uses the computer for word processing. First click on "Format" at the top of your document page. Next click on "Paragraph". Choose "Indents and Spacing" and find "Alignment". It probably reads "Left" so click on the adjacent button and you will see a few other options including "Right", "Centered" and "Justified". Now ask yourself, "Why would you want to be right or left or even centrist when you could be justified?" So choose this last option and your writing - no matter how bad it is - will be "justified"! What this means for writing, of course, is that each line will be automatically adjusted to match an already established line length. Spacing between words will be modified in order to keep all lines the same, even though they don't all have the same number of letters and words. Amazing!
God justifies us according to His perfect standard, Jesus. In spite of the fact that we each have a different number of total sins and a wide variety of types of sins, still we are justified so that we come out the same "length" as Jesus. Although we each have a different number of good deeds and also a wide variety of types of good deeds, still God justifies us until we look just as "long" as Jesus. That's amazing!
