Not Even a Day Alone

Not Even A Day Alone"Then the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner." Genesis 2:18

I'm a loner. I've always thought it was just my personality. So why does God say that it's "not good that man should be alone"? Maybe because, although every individual needs some time apart from others, too much time alone is not healthy.

Too much time alone skews our perspective on life; allows us to become horribly self-centered; and prevents us from experiencing the joy of a see-saw.

Too much time alone creates a false sense of self sufficiency; promotes paranoia and mistrust of others; and is a hindrance to the delight of riding a bicycle built for two.

The older I get the more difficult it is to get along without people for long periods of time. Adam wasn't any better. If you think about it you realize that he didn't even last a day...alone.
